Sushant Singh Rajput’s kitty is generously packed with some exciting movies. Besides Kedarnath opposite Sara Ali Khan, the MS Dhoni star has Chandamama Door Ke and Drive. And now according to latest reports, Sushant has been roped in for the Bollywood remake of Josh Boone’s 2014 American romantic drama The Fault In Our Stars. The Hollywood movie which starred Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort was the silver screen adaptation of John Green’s 2012 novel of the same name.

The movie will be produced by Fox Star Studios and will be directed by Mukesh Chhabra. A source told a daily, “Mukesh was the one who introduced Sushant to Abhishek Kapoor for Kai Po Che! He had always wanted to work with him and felt he would be perfect for this film. He is currently on the lookout for his leading lady. Though inspired by the Hollywood film, the script will be adapted to Indian sensibilities.”

In the book, John Green managed to tell this heart-wrenching tale in the most beautiful way possible. Some of the phrases are so beautifully written that phrases like “As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once” and “The marks humans leave are too often scars” still tug at our hearts.

With the announcement of this remake, it is now left to be seen how the movie turns out. As far as Sushant is considered, we are hoping he’d make a good Augustus. Throughout his career, Sushant has proved what an amazing actor he is and we hope he lives up to the expectations.
