Sonu Nigam azaan row: Singer ready to shave his head, asks West Bengal maulvi to keep Rs 10 lakh ready

It looks like singer Sonu Nigam is not ready to bow down before his haters and trollers on social media. The controversial tweets of Sonu have not only given birth to a huge controversy but have also divided the entire film fraternity as well. While most of the people have criticized the singer for his insensitive tweets, others extended their support saying that his message has been misinterpreted.

With the controversy getting bigger day by day, the Mumbai police has beefed up security around the singer’s bungalow. Recently, a FIR was also filed against him in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. But the singer has simply refused to back off and he constantly posting new updates on his Twitter account saying that he stands by what he said and he was only talking about the loudspeakers and not the azaan.

But the controversy took an ugly turn when the vice president of West Bengal Minority United Council Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi issued a fatwa against the singer and said, “If anyone can shave his hair, put a garland of old torn shoes around his neck and tour him around the country I personally announce an award of Rs 10 lakh for that person.”

Not only this, he also called him anti-national and said that he has no right to hurt anybody’s religious sentiments. And it looks like the Maulvi’s fatwa and statement haven’t gone down well with Sonu Nigam, as the singer took to his Twitter and challenged Quaderi.

Yes, you heard that right, an angry Sonu tweeted that hairstylist Aalim Hakim will come to his place at 2 PM to shave his head and the singer also invited the press to participate. Here’s what Nigam wrote:
