It doesn’t happen everyday: Shah Rukh Khan is in train, travelling from Mumbai to Delhi and we’ve got the pictures

Shah Rukh Khan is in train travelling from Mumbai to Delhi to promote his upcoming movie Raees. This makes him the first Khan to pull such a stint

Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned in the promotions of his upcoming movie Raees. To do the same, SRK has boarded a train from Mumbai to Delhi. This is the first time that a Khan has taken this route to promote their movie. As unique as this promotional strategy is, Shah Rukh Khan is making the most of it. On his journey, the superstar has been sharing what all he has been doing on social media.

The makers chose this mode of promotion because SRK’s character in the film Raees is very earthy and rooted and since there is a subconscious connect with train as a mode of transport which services masses.

Along with Shah Rukh, producer Ritesh Sidhwani, director Rahul Dholakia and actress Sunny Leone have boarded the train in the second A/C compartment. The train- August Kranti started its journey today evening from Bombay Central at evening 5 pm and is expected to arrive in Delhi at 10:55 am at the Hazrat Nizamuddin station. It will have stop overs namely- Andheri, Borivili, Wapi, Walsad, Surat, Baruch, Baroda, Ratlam, Kota, Savai Modhopur and Mathura.

Here are the pictures from SRK’s train journey:

Well, it is not everyday that you see a superstar name on the reservation chart. It had to be amazing, right?

Slated for a release on 25 January, Raees will lock horns with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil at the Box Office. Both the movies are expected to earn a lot of money at the ticket counters given the five day weekend that they will enjoy.
