Salman Khan’s most anticipated release of the year Tubelight is finally on the silver screens. The film gained the limelight way before its release. But as soon as after hitting the theaters, the 1962 Indo-Sino war drama has received a mixed response so far. Kabir Khan’s directorial has managed to mint Rs 21.15 crore on the first day at the Box Office. With these figures, Salman has witnessed lowest ever opening on Eid.

However, Salman doesn’t seem to be bothered by it at all. Recently, at an event, the Sultan star was asked about whether Tubelight should be made tax free or not. To which he replied in an interesting manner.

According to the reports published by a leading daily, Salman said “honi toh chahiye tax free. All such movies that are good should be made tax free. But if all the movies were made tax free then how will the government get entertainment tax? Government also needs money. We should also take care of the government na? So taxes are a good thing, lekin zyada nahi hone chahiye (smiles).”
