Priyanka Chopra, Big B and other Bollywood celebrities wish fans a very Happy Holi

On the joyous occasion of the festival of colours, Bollywood celebrities took time out of their Holi festivities to send out wishes for their beloved fans.

Whether it be age-old songs like Holi ke Din from Sholay or Balam Pichkari from Ye Jawani Hai Deewani, Bollywood has always been incomplete without Holi and the pendulum seems to be swinging both ways. On the joyous occasion of the festival of colours, celebrities took time out of their Holi festivities to send out wishes for their beloved fans.

Amitabh Bachchan, whose iconic Rang Barse from Silsila is still indelible in our minds, extended his wishes to his fans with a rather meaningful advice. He tweeted, “The quieter you become the more you can hear.” Junior Bachchan aka Abhishek Bachchan followed after his father to wish his fans. He tweeted, “May the Holika burn away all your sorrows and evils. #happyholi @ Mumbai, India”

Bollywood’s shining star in the west Priyanka Chopra may be away from home but she hasn’t forgotten her fans back in India. This is the second year when PeeCee is not at home during Holi and she definitely misses her fans more than they miss her. The actress, who is currently working on ABC’s TV series Quantico, shared a post on Instagram referring to the catchy song Do Me a Favour Let’s Play Holi from her movie Waqt. In the caption, she wrote, ” Do me a favour let’s play Holi! Here is wishing everyone a safe beautiful wonder filled Holi..”

Anushka Sharma went ahead with a more innovative Holi wish, while promoting her upcoming film Phillauri. Anushka plays the (environment) friendly ghost Shashi in the movie. Here’s what she tweeted:

While we may have forgotten Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla but, she definitely has not forgotten us. The actress, whose last memorable performance was in the film Gulaab Gang, shared the image of a beautiful painting of Lord Krishna as she tweeted, “Wishing all of you a very #HappyHoli. 247 years old painting of Lord Krishna celebrating Holi festival with Radha.”
