Vidya Balan’s Kahaani 2 released today and so far the movie has received mixed reviews from the audience. The film is a sequel to Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani and features Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal in lead roles. While Vidya was seen playing a pregnant woman who was searching for her missing husband in the prequel, this time she is playing a mother, who fights all the odds to save her daughter.
The movie is completely on Vidya’s shoulders and she has nailed it with her amazing acting skills. Her character Durga Rani Singh is the highlight of the movie and the actress is being highly appreciated not only by the film critics but also by our B-Town celebs.

Not to forget, the promotional strategy adopted by the marketing team of the film, before even the trailer launch, was really creative. The wanted posters with Vidya’s face on it actually increased the curiosity among the audience, but seems like it didn’t work quite well for the film.

In recent times, Vidya has only played characters which are strong and intriguing. She is a class apart when it comes to her contemporaries and completely owns the character. To our surprise, Arjun Rampal who played the role of a police officer in the film also did justice to his character.
