After months of speculation, it was officially revealed by Shah Rukh, Anushka Sharma and Imtiaz Ali through their social media handles late on Thursday night that their upcoming movie is titled Jab Harry Met Sejal. As soon the official first look poster of the film was released, Twitterati gave their views over SRK’s upcoming romantic flick and it seemed divided. While some were fine with the title and said the poster was interesting and unique, others felt that Jab Harry Met Sejal could be a disaster.
Featuring the duo in the poster, the first glimpse reflects a positive vibe with Shah Rukh and Anushka portrayed at their jovial best. Interestingly, the film’s title reminds us of Imtiaz’ hit film, Jab We Met, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
In the upcoming romantic film, Shah Rukh will be seen essaying the character of a Punjabi guide – Harvinder Singh Nehra aka Harry whereas Anushka Sharma will play a Gujarati girl, Sejal. How they meet each other and fall in love is what the film is about.
Sharing his views on Shah Rukh Khan’s film, a social media user wrote: “Rockstar and Tamasha were entire movies that polarised the audience. With Jab Harry Met Sejal, polarisation begins with the title itself”
Meanwhile, film fraternity minced no words in praising Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh’ film. Actor Riteish Deshmukh took toTwitterr and wrote: “Loved the first look & the much awaited title Jab Harry MetSejal, Please show us the Trailer now.
Slated to hit the silver screen on August 4, the trailer of Jab Harry Met Sejal’s is likely to release on June 19, a few days before the release of Salman Khan’s Tubelight. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, the film also features Evelyn Sharma.
