Is Alia Bhatt’s comment on nepotism an answer to Kangana Ranaut’s remark?

It seems like Alia Bhatt, who made her debut with Johar's Student Of The Year, is not very happy with Kangana Ranaut's nepotism remark. Here's what she said

Last week, while promoting her recent release Rangoon on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, Kangana Ranaut took a dig at the filmmaker not once but many times. In fact, the actress went ahead and also called Karan Johar ‘the flagbearer of nepotism’.

It seems like Alia Bhatt, who made her Bollywood debut with Karan’s Student Of The Year, is not very happy with Kangana’s remark. Alia has made her mark amongst the top in Bollywood with her hard work and a good selection of films and this comment of Kangana is surely not going down well with the actress.

These days Alia is busy promoting her upcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania and in a candid interview with Mid Day, the actress talked at length about being a starlet and people’s perception of them. She told that there have been many examples of star kids who come and go from the industry without achieving because people come to see you as an actor and not because of your family.

Alia also spoke about the whole nepotism thing in the industry and said that she didn’t plan her birth in the Bhatt family. The actress further added:

I think a star kid can get that first film due to nepotism. But I am also aware of the fact that people do struggle to make a mark in the industry and it’s not right to blame nepotism.
