Here’s why Saina Nehwal’s biopic will be the most challenging role for Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor, who is all geared up for the release of her upcoming film Half Girlfriend, is super thrilled and excited to play the role of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal in her biopic. With biopics being the current favourite genre of Bollywood filmmakers, this film has already created a lot of anticipation among the people.

Earlier, there were reports that Deepika Padukone will play the role of Saina, owing to her badminton background. But at the end, it was Shraddha who sealed the deal. Helmed by Taare Zameen Par fame Amole Gupte, the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and will take us on a journey of some unsaid and unheard tales of badminton champ Saina Nehwal.

This will be Shraddha’s second biopic, as she already has Apoorva Lakhia’s Haseena: The Queen Of Mumbai biopic in her kitty which will hit the screens on July 14 this year. From playing a dancer in ABCD 2 to portraying the role of underworld don Dawood’s sister Haseena, Shraddha’s acting talent knows no boundaries. The actress works really hard to get into the skin of her character.

Recently, in an interview with Mumbai Mumbai, Shraddha Kapoor told that this is going to be the toughest film of her career. She further added: ”Saina has spent her whole life playing badminton and in the next few months, I have to get close to the standards she’s set.”

She also said that she was a good athlete in school and because of this biopic, she will get to train in the sport once again. Well, now that Shraddha is all set to amaze us with her badminton skills, it will be interesting to see if she will be able to do justice to Saina’s character on-screen.
