Here’s why a 7-year-old Varun Dhawan got a slap threat from Salman Khan

Varun Dhawan recalls when as a 7-year-old he upset Salman Khan and received a slap threat from him. But what did actually happen?

Nobody messes with Salman Khan. We are all aware of the repercussions B-town celebs have faced after rubbing Dabangg Khan the wrong way. While we are aware that he gets angry whenever someone mentions his exes before him, but Salman freaks out for one more reason. When someone calls him an UNCLE.

And guess who learnt it the hard way? It’s none other than Varun Dhawan. The actor who will step into bhaijaan’s shoes for his upcoming flick Judwaa 2, revealed when he got an earful from the superstar for this.

The 29-year-old actor in a conversation to IANS narrated an incident during the shooting of Judwaa. As a seven-year-old, Varun used to be present on the sets of the film directed by his father David Dhawan. On one such occasion, he met Salman who was standing in shorts and vest. Little did he know that addressing the superstar as uncle would upset him. An irked Salman threatened Varun to slap him and asked him to address him as Salman bhai. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror four years ago, Salman had expressed his displeasure of being called bhai or Sallu. “Only Arbaaz and Sohail could call me bhai,” the 51-year-old actor had remarked.

Meanwhile, Varun is ecstatic about Judwaa 2, in which he plays the double role as Raja and Prem. He will be paired alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. The actor unveiled the first look of the comedy film which releases on 29th September.
