Here’s the real reason why Karan Singh Grover doesn’t regret doing the condom ad

Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu's condom advertisement got a lot of attention and the couple feels showing their sensuality was not difficult at all

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s extremely sensuous and steamy condom advertisement on safe sex raised a lot of eyebrows and offended trolls as usuals. Recently, the celebrity couple opened up about the advertisement, how comfortable they were shooting it and how they wanted the video to emphasise more on safe sex than their sensuality.

While speaking to a daily about the advertisement, Bipasha said that they did not have to follow the director’s instruction while Karan expressed his joy about getting paid for making out with his hot wife.

Karan said,

I am getting paid to get into the pool and make out with my hot wife! What do you expect?

When Bipasha pointed out her husband was always ‘in the moment’, the actor replied,

I am always into you!

Bipasha added,

I don’t think the ad is steamy, per say. It just shows our playfulness. We did not need a director’s instructions. That’s how we are when we are together anyway. It was comforting to have my husband with me. One thing’s for sure – we would not have done this ad with another co-star.

Bipasha and Karan said they wished the advertisement spoke more about safe sex than their sensuality. The couple said in unison,

We can’t use sex as a dirty word. We wished that the conversation moved from sensuality to planned pregnancy, protection from STDs, and of course, loving your woman. Who talks about this in this country?

In the interview, the much-in-love couple also revealed they were unaffected by trolls. While Karan seemed surprised to know they got trolled, Bipasha said:

The negativity is little when compared to the love we get back. Yes, people can be brutal, but does it bother us? No. Social media is a great tool but you need nerves of steel to deal with the criticism that it can draw. If our friends, normal couples post their cosy moments on social media, why can’t we? And why does it have to be seen as a ‘brave’ act?

Well, one thing is for sure: no amount of hatred or trolling can stop this couple from showing their love for each other.
