‘Goodbye to the original heartthrob’: Twitter offers condolences after Vinod Khanna’s death

Fans heartbroken after the most charming actor of Bollywood, Vinod Khanna, passes away at 70.

Veteran actor and MP Vinod Khanna, 70, passed away this morning. The news came as a shock to his fans and well-wishers. Two weeks ago, the actor was admitted in the hospital, reportedly, due to severe dehydration and his son, Akshaye Khanna reassured well-wishers that his father was recovering well. A photograph of him also surfaced on social media, where he was looking frail and weak.

Considered one of the most handsome heroes of his time, Vinod Khanna started his career as a villain with Mann Ka Meet and went on to become a beloved hero of the Bollywood. He is still remembered for his roles in Qaid, Zaalim, Hera Pheri, Amar Akbar Anthony, Parvarish, Khoon Pasina, Zameer, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, The Burning Train, Qurbani, Hum Tum aur Woh, Aap Ki Khatir, Lahu Ke Do Rang to name a few. After a small break from the industry, he came back in the late 80’s and starred in Jurm, Chandni, Insaaf, Eena Meena Deeka, Insaniyat Ka Devta but unfortunately, the movies did not do well. The audience last saw him on-screen in Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 2 (2012) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale (2015).

But Vinod Khanna will always be remembered as the most charming actors Bollywood has ever had.
