The 62nd edition of the prestigious Filmfare Awards has started in Mumbai, with many eyes of Bollywood lovers towards it. Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, the event has some amazing power packed performances from renowned B-town celebs. Anyone who has been a fan of Bollywood would know that holding the black lady in their hands is something that every member of the film fraternity dreams of. The report, for now, goes like Shah Rukh Khan Fan gets Best VFX, Payal Saluja received Best Costume for Udta Punjab, Best Sound Design goes to Vivek Sachidanand for Phobia.

Nominations of this prestigious award shows are decided by a jury that includes few members from Bollywood and others from the organisers. Apart from being looked forward to who won the award, the Filmfare is also an event where we get to see some of the most fashionable events of the year. Bollywood celebs try to look their best at the event. They can be seen flaunting their best attires to impress the fashion police and set new trends.

This year, however, Filmfare was shrouded in controversy after nominations were announced. Many slammed the organisers for missing out on commendable performances of 2016. The loudest outrage came from the fans of Akshay Kumar since he was ignored in the nominations, despite giving splendid performances this year.

Despite all this, Filmfare has started its annual event with many still wanting to know what’s happening at the grand affair.
