Carbon Trailer: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jacky Bhagnani are selling oxygen, are you ready to buy it?

The trailer of Jackky Bhagnani, Prachi Desai and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Carbon is out. The film also features Yashpal Sharma in a pivotal role

After releasing the first look and neon posters of Jackky Bhagnani, Prachi Desai and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Carbon, the makers have now unveiled the trailer of the film. In the short trailer, we are introduced to an apocalyptic world fifty years hence, in 2067, where oxygen has become a scarce commodity (like how water is at present) which people are forced to buy. The only thing widely available in this world is Carbon. Said to be the first doomsday Sci-Fi film to come out of Bollywood, the trailer reveals a tense story in the background of prolonged dumping of carbon emissions in the environment. It’s a short film which focuses on the consequences of climate change and intends to help people understand the probable consequences they may have to suffer, if they do not take an action in the present.

India is the third largest producer of carbon emissions after China and the United States, and has pledged to drastically cut down on carbon emissions by signing the Paris Climate Accords last year.

Jackky Bhagnani and Prachi Desai on Thursday launched the trailer of the film Carbon at the Twitter office. In the film, Nawazuddin will be seen in a totally edgy avatar. The Raees actor, who has never shied away from experimenting with different characters and donning a variety of looks, is once again all set to portray a negative character after Badlapur. This is the first time Prachi Desai will be seen sharing the screen space with Nawazuddin.

During the trailer launch of the film, Jackky said that Carbon is the first Hindi sci-fi film.

“I don’t know if you will like the film or not when you watch it. But you won’t be able to say that this movie was an imitation of any Hollywood film. This is our own version.”

Adding to the same Prachi Desai said: “The first time when the director and writer met me I didn’t even take a second to think about it. I was actually blown by the idea, just as much as everyone else is going to be when they watch the trailer.”
