Badrinath Ki Dulhania Box Office collection Day 7: Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt’s film surpasses lifetime collections of Dear Zindagi, collects Rs 73.66 crore in week 1

With its week one figures, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has also crossed the lifetime collections of Taapsee Pannu's Pink and Shahid Kapoor's Udta Punjab

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s latest release Badrinath Ki Dulhania is on a record breaking spree and is moving ahead strongly at the box office. The film has not only done great business domestically but in the international market as well. In fact, with its amazing opening day figures, the film has emerged as the third biggest opener of this year after Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2.

In week one of its release, the film has done a business of Rs 12.25 crore on Friday, Rs 14.75 crore on Saturday, Rs 16.05 on Sunday, Rs 12.08 on Monday, Rs 7.15 crore on Tuesday, Rs 5.95 on Wednesday and Rs 5.06 crore on Thursday, minting a total of Rs 73.66 crore so far.

With its week one figures, the film has already crossed the lifetime collections of Alia-SRK’s Dear Zindagi, Taapsee Pannu’s Pink and Shahid Kapoor’s Udta Punjab. Badrinath Ki Dulhania has also made its place in the top 10 romantic entertainers list and will soon cross the lifetime collections of its first installment HSKD by the end of this week.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the second installment of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, but doesn’t take the story forward. This is for the third time that Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan have shared the screen space after SOTY and HSKD. And their chemistry is not only being loved by the audience but also by the film critics.
