Baahubali 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: SS Rajamouli’s movie earns Rs 39 crore, beats Sultan and Dangal

Baahubali: The Conclusion has performed exceptionally well at the Box Office. The movie directed by SS Rajamouli earned Rs 38.5 crore on the first day. It should be noted these figures are from the Hindi version and by earning so much the movie has defeated Sultan and Dangal. While the first-day collection of Sultan was Rs 36.54 crore, Dangal earned Rs 29.78 crore on the opening day.

Trade experts had suggested that the movie earned more than Rs 30 crore on the first day, though the final numbers are still awaited.

There are reports floating around in media that suggest that Baahubali: The Conclusion that the net collection of the movie came to Rs 100 crore, combining all the versions. Made originally in Telugu, the movie was dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil. A report in a leading entertainment portal revealed few numbers about the movie.

Here is a breakdown of the movie’s reported earning:

Rs 35 crore: Hindi version

Rs 45 crore: Telugu version

Rs 14 crore: Tamil version

Rs 14 crore: Malayalam version

Adding the figures, the net collection of Baahubali: The Conclusion comes to Rs 108 crore. This is absolutely earth shattering and if these numbers hold true then this SS Rajamouli directorial would become the first movie to achieve this feat.

The success of Baahubali: The Conclusion is special because it is one of the few movies that has been loved both the critics and viewers. Critics were extremely generous on the movie and termed it the best cinematic experiences of latest times. With part one, the team of Baahubali broke the perception of regional cinema and catered to a pan India audience.
