After Baahubali 2, will this film be the next to cross Rs 1000 cr worldwide?

Baahubali 2 has taken the Box Office by storm with a collection of Rs 1200 crore worldwide. Will Aamir Khan's Dangal be the next to join the club ?

It is S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 vs Aamir Khan’s Dangal at the Box office. Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, recently raked in Rs 1000 crore worldwide and became the first Indian film to collect such figures. But it seems that Aamir Khan starrer Dangal is all set to join the Rs 1000 cr club. According to reports, as of now, Dangal has collected Rs 912.6 crore worldwide and might soon become the second Indian movie to achieve this feat

The Box Office collections of Dangal included Rs 744 crore that it earned in India and the additional Rs 20 crore from Taiwan. So going by the figures it won’t be wrong to expect that the film would soon cross the Rs 1000 crore mark at the Box Office.

Aamir Khan‘s Dangal has also left behind Hollywood superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 with a collection of $3.87 M.  Released in China recently, the film has already crossed Rs 100 crore mark despite facing strong competition. Confirming the same trade analyst Ramesh Bala‏ took to his micro-blogging site Twitter and posted: For the 2nd day in a row, @aamir_khan ‘s #Dangal retains No.1 over #GotGVol2 in #China May 11th: #Dangal – $3.87 M, #GotGVol2 – $2.84 M.

Meanwhile, Taran Adarsh also posted the collection of Dangal. Take a look here:

The film was based on the real-life struggle of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to her daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat.

Meanwhile, in just 14 days since release, the Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali: The Conclusion has crossed the domestic lifetime collection of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s sports drama film. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who presented the Hindi version of the film on Friday shared on Twitter that the film has minted Rs 390.25 crore, surpassing the lifetime business of Dangal, which collected Rs 387.38 crore domestically. Dangal had earlier this year became Bollywood’s highest grosser in the country.
