Arjun Kapoor Shuts Down Troll Who Called Him A Molester In Namastey England Still

Celebs cannot escape trolling. But, they sure can show some sass every now and then and win our hearts. Arjun Kapoor, who is gearing up for his next release, Namaste England opposite Parineeti Chopra, recently shot back at a troll, who very callously made an unsavoury comment on Arjun’s look in the still.

On September 11, team Namaste England shared a still from the movie’s new song Tere Liye featuring Arjun and Parineeti locked in an embrace when a Twitter user thought it was okay to compare Arjun’s look with that of a molester.

He tweeted, ‘Is it only me or arjun Kapoor looks like a molester in the pic.’

Tweeps quickly started calling out the user. Initially, the Twitter user tried to calm the situation by saying he said it on a lighter note but obviously no one was buying it.

Probably embarrassed, the Twitter user hastily deleted the tweet along with the replies.

Here’s what Arjun tweeted:

When terms like this are used lightly it signifies lack of basic human understanding of the how big a deal it is to make sure we don’t take women s safety lightly or as a joke https://t.co/yazPhM7gBS

Some empathised with Arjun, a few pointed out how every Bollywood movie mostly glorifies stalking/molesting and some called out Arjun for his ‘AIB roast’ with Ranveer and a few applauded Arjun for promptly speaking about women’s safety.

Here are a few tweets:

The thinking is the problem

that’s basically issues with the brains… never will women be safe and never will some men change, remember that you are a human with biggish heart and you have so many people who love respect and appreciate you constantly

Every Bollywood movie ever

All bollywood movie glorifies molesting. Every romantic movie start with boys stalking girl against her will. In R rajkumar, whole song was on molesting a girl. Nothing better can be expected.

The need of the hour

Thank you for this. Open dialogue and awareness of using appropriate language. Men like you will help to change the world for the better.

Plain and simple

Exactly. You can like or dislike a person and express it in a million other ways without taking something as serious as women safety as a joke. Thank you @arjunk26 for calling it out. https://t.co/6SvQj5eLbB

The famous roast

— ANKIT (@ankitgarg1986) September 11, 2018

We hope this was true

Oh for heaven sake that was scripted. They don’t go about insulting woman in their real life.
