[PHOTOS] This year’s Puppy Bowl to feature adorable differently-abled puppies as contestants

What if I tell you some furry little puppies are going to gather on the same field for a fierce battle of football? Puppy Bowl is here, you guys!!!

“I just want to be surrounded by cuddly adorable puppies”. You have made this statement at least once in your lifetime if you are a dog-lover. Brace yourselves, people it’s that time of the year. Puppy Bowl is back!!

For people who have been missing out on the opportunity to witness all kinds of adorableness in one frame, Puppy Bowl is television program organised by Animal Planet. It is something similar to Super Bowl which is a football game, except it features..wait for it..

Yes, puppies. Puppy Bowl features puppies as contestants. Also, the best part is that all the puppies that participate in the game are from the shelter.

Still, do not underestimate the seriousness of the game. The puppies battle it out in a proper Animal Planet stadium which audience cheering for their favorite participant with commentary going on in the background.

There is also a referee constantly illustrating the actions of the players. Penalties are also issued on the contestants [puppies] if they “relieve” themselves on the battleground. Of course, there’s a winner.

However, the Puppy Bowl 2017 is slightly more special. This year’s Puppy Bowl features 3 special needs dogs in the contestant list.

Meet Lucky. This female three-legged Terrier lost her leg in an accident. But hello, she is Fierce!

This one is Doober and is deaf. Does anyone stand a chance against this munchkin?

And finally, Winston. He has vision and hearing disability. But Winston means business, people. B-)
