Kathmandu bound plane makes emergency landing in Delhi; third in a month

Notedly, this is third instance in February when a plane had to make an emergency landing in the national capital.

An Ethiopian Airlines aircraft from Mumbai to Kathmandu made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi due to a technical snag. All passengers were reported to be safe.

Earlier on February 14, GoAir aircraft Airbus A320 Neo, which took off from Mumbai, made an emergency at Indira Gandhi International airport due to some disturbance in its engine.

Earlier on February 8, Bengaluru-bound GoAir flight with about 200 passengers on board avoided a disastrous fate at IGI airport.. It was the group of locals who spotted the aircraft’s engine on fire and immediately informed the Police Control Room which conveyed the emergency situation to Delhi air traffic control.
