Watch: Badrinath Ki Dulhania's new song is fun but won't please discerning taste

The new song Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's Badrinath Ki Dulhania fails to match up to the buzz it had created

Seems there would be no dearth of foot tapping songs in the album of Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The newest song of the film titled Aashiq Surrender Hua, confirms this. The song was released a short while ago on social media and it has the potential to become a chartbuster.  The palpable chemistry between Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan cannot be missed in the video. The song has been sung by Shreya Ghosal and Amaal Mallik. Having quirky lyrics the song grows on you.

But for those who have a discerning taste in music, this song would turn to be a disappointment.

All the songs of Badrinath Ki Dulhania that have been released created quite the buzz. The title track Badrinath Ki Dulhania has already become the Holi anthem of this year. Likewise, the reprised version of 90’s hit Tamma Tamma, Tamma Tamma Again got love from cine buffs. Even the stars of the original song- Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, heaped praises on the younger actors saying they did a fantastic job. The composer of Tamma Tamma Bappi Lahiri too shot a video in which he sent his love to the team of the upcoming movie.

Moving away from these party numbers, Badrinath Ki Dulhania ha a slow romantic number as well. Titled Humsafar, the song captured the essence of love and longing perfectly.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is set in Jhansi. The trailer hinted the film won’t be another cliched love story of Bollywood. The part where Alia Bhatt’s character Vaidehi said she liked her self-respect more than love pointed out it the film would be notbing like seen before. The film is slated for release on 10 March.
