Stand-up comedian Zakir Khan, who is lovingly called Zakir Bhai by his fans, is basking under a lot of rave reviews these days for his special Haq Se Single which was recently released on Amazon Prime. There’s no denying that he is one of best stand-up comedians in India who enjoys a massive fan following due to the brilliant content that caters to the Indian middle-class audience. But did you know that the 29-year-old comedian who hails from an artistic family of Indore is also a brilliant poet? If you don’t believe us then check out this video of Zakir reciting an extremely emotional poem titled ” Is Laeeq Nahin Ho Tum”.
In the video posted by Rekhta on their official Facebook page, one can feel the pain and emotions behind the soulful poem which Khan recited from a perspective of a lover. His voice rises and falls in tandem to display the pain and jealousy he felt as his lover betrayed him for another man. The audiences break into a roaring applaud as Khan begins, “Kuch sawal hain jo sirf qayamat ki roz puchunga tumse,..” continues to cheer the comedian as he vents out his emotions.
