This man tried to preach religion to Harbhajan Singh, ended up learning a lesson himself!

The IPL season is on and news related to cricketers – both off and on field is coming in by the dozen. Sparing the on-field hits and misses, let’s shift out focus on the controversies and blunders that happened off-field by our cricketers. It all started with former cricketer Anil Kumble tagging the journalist Sagarika Ghose instead of actress Sagarika Ghatge to congratulate her on her engagement with Indian skipper Zaheer Khan. We all know what followed was the series of trolls that are still making rounds. And only when the buzz was slowly ending, trolls shifted their focus on master blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘Happy Birthday’ tweet to himself. So now new in news-town is bowler Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan, dearly known as Bhajji paji, is usually known for his cheerful avatar although is also remembered for some of worst controversies in cricket (Hint: Sreesanth and Ambati Rayadu).  So when a person tries to troll Singh, he is sure getting himself on a rocky boat.

On Sunday, Harbhajan took to Twitter to congratulate his team ‘Mumbai Indians’  recent win against the team ‘Delhi Daredevils’ and mostly received retweets and happy reactions from the netizens. Among those messages, one man tried to troll Harbhajan by bringing the controversial topic of religion. He went on preach his views on Sikhism and asked Singh to wear a turban.

Harbhajan immediately took notice and replied to the following tweet:

Punjabi singer Mika Singh also took notice of that man’s tweet and shared his views on the religion:

The man, evidently embarrassed tried to get hold of the situation by requesting everybody to not create an issue out of it.

Lesson learnt : do not mess with Bhajji paji
