Sachin Tendulkar is always up for a cause. He is also highly inspiring

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is considered the demigod of cricket has recently joined hands with Shiv Sena’s Aaditya Thackeray for a cleanliness drive programme. Sachin Tendulkar, since retiring from the game has been seen involved in social work. We heard of the legend adopting a village in the south. Sachin Tendulkar, who also happens to be a Rajya Sabha MP, is seriously looking to help people. The duo, along with a few volunteers, and sweepers of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), joined forces to clean up parts of Bandra Fort in Western Mumbai.

Thackeray Jr posted a few pictures of their effort on his Twitter handle and wrote in Marathi: “Our BMC sweepers work tirelessly day and night to keep Mumbai clean. Today, I and Mr Sachin Tendulkar@sachin_rt tried to give them a hand.”

In another post, he wrote: “While cleaning up, realised once again that in terms of garbage, plastic and thermocol pose the biggest problems for Mumbai. It’s up to us to keep our city clean. Not littering and segregating garbage are solutions to keeping the city clean. I am grateful to @sachin_rt for joining me in this effort”.

After doing his bit, Tendulkar had a few words of advice for his fans and followers in a video tweet: “We each have to do our bit to keep #IndiaClean. So, pick a group of friends, a street, and together let’s #CleanUp India. #SwachhataHiSeva.”

It was a series of tweets by the Shiv Sena leader.

Currently, India is hosting Australia at home and the Virat Kohli-led team India have already taken a 3-0 lead.
