It’s known that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s previous releases, Dilwale and Fan underperformed at the Box office, but it has not affected the stardom of the actor in India, especially at the Kerala Box Office. Directed by Rahul Dholakia and jointly produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Gauri Khan, the action-crime thriller is slated to be released this Wednesday, i.e. on 25th January 2017.

Though Raees is clashing with Suriya’s Tamil film Cingam 3 and Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil, the hype around the SRK-starrer is unprecedented at the Kerala Box Office.

The opening shows of the new Bollywood releases normally starts from 10:00 am onwards, but in the case of the upcoming SRK-starrer, the opening shows are slated to begin from morning 7:30 am. At several places, including the cinemas across Trivandrum, the special shows are scheduled to start from 7:30 am, thanks to SRK’s stardom. The actor’s last release, Dear Zindagi, where the actor appeared in an extended cameo did a decent business at the Kerala Box Office.

Meanwhile, Raees is all set to open big overseas as well, especially at the UAE Box Office. The film, which also features Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will be eyeing to break the opening day record set by Mohanlal-starrer Pulimurugan across the cinemas of UAE. However, it will be interesting to see how the film performs throughout the opening weekend despite clashing with Kaabil and Cingam 3.
