Advance booking report: Mohanlal's 1971 Beyond Borders all set to open huge, first show scheduled at 9:00 am

Though 1971 Beyond Borders is Mohanlal's 4th Malayalam release in 8 months, it hasn't affected the actor's stardom in terms of advance booking

Mohanlal’s war-thriller 1971 Beyond Borders is slated to release tomorrow. Directed by Major Ravi, the film marks the fourth collaboration of Major Mahadevan series after Keerthichakra, Kurukshetra, and Kandahar. 1971 Beyond Borders stars Mohanlal in dual roles as father-son duo Major Sahadevan and Major Mahadevan.

Though 1971 Beyond Borders is Mohanlal’s fourth Malayalam release in 8 months, it hasn’t affected the actor’s stardom as far as advance booking of the film is concerned. The advance booking of the film has started at the major multiplexes across Cochin, Trivandrum, and Calicut and the response has been very good so far. The film is said to have a big release with 200 plus screens at the Kerala Box Office. The film is also the fourth film to have more than 200 screens after Kabali, Pulimurugan and last week’s Mammootty starrer The Great Father at the Kerala Box Office. Fan shows are scheduled to start at 9.00 AM and most of the shows are already sold out without any surprise.

The big question awaits is whether 1971 Beyond Borders able to recreate the kind of opening Pulimurugan had taken on its opening day.

1971 Beyond Borders stars Asha Sharath in the female lead. The film also marks the Malayalam debut of Bollywood actor Arunodhay Singh and Telugu actors Allu Sirish, Srushti Dange. 1971 Beyond Borders also stars an ensemble cast including Renji Panicker, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana, Devan, Manikuttan, Krishnakumar, Priyanka Agrawal and Zoya Zayed Khan.
