If Emma Watson starring as a pro-feminist Belle in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast movie wasn’t enough then, get a load of this: pop sensations Ariana Grande and John Legend are going to sing the title track for the Disney film! The track, which is also called Beauty and the Beast, will be composed by Alan Menken. Menken also composed the song for the 1991 animated film.
Beauty and the Beast is one of the most awaited films of 2017, more so with this revelation. The film stars Emma Watson (Belle), Dan Stevens (Beast), Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson, Kevin Kline, and Josh Gad.
Grande, who has received two Grammy nominations this year, shared a photo on Instagram from the recording studio with a wilting rose emoji, a direct reference to the Enchanted Rose in the film.
Moreover, the official Instagram account of Beauty and the Beast reposted her photo. John Legend too is an acclaimed artist who has won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and ten Grammys.

The original 1991 song, which had been sung by Angela Lansbury as part of her character Mrs. Potts, won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Grammy Award that year. It was later recreated with the voices of Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson as part of the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack.

The full soundtrack, which will be released on March 10 (a week before the film), also features songs with vocals by Emma Watson herself. The film has also teased short bits from the songs Something There and Belle just to give us a hint of how awesome the soundtrack is going to be. Check it out:
