Photos: Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma shoot for Imtiaz Ali's untitled film in Punjab

Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma recently shot for Imtiaz Ali's upcoming untitled film in Ludhiana and Amritsar

Shah Rukh Khan is currently filming for Imtiaz Ali’ upcoming film. The venture is untitled and several names are doing rounds. On Sunday, he was in Ludhiana and Amritsar along with the film’s female lead Anushka Sharma as part of the shooting schedule.

It is believed that Shah Rukh plays a Punjabi tourist guide while Anushka essays the role of a Gujarati girl who embarks on a world tour. Both the stars shot for the sequences in Punjab wherein large number of people had gathered at the location to have a glimpse of them. Anushka was seen wearing a traditional Punjabi suit and looked extremely pretty. The film has been shot in Prague, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Budapest. If the trends are to believed, the actors are said to be shooting the climax scene of the film.

Recently, it was revealed that Shah Rukh and Anushka would shoot a Punjabi song featuring 200 dancers in the film. It will be the second time after Veer Zaara that the superstar will be filming a Punjabi dance number. It is for the first time when Shah Rukh has collaborated with Imtiaz Ali for a film. The filmmaker said shooting with Shah Rukh reminded of him the old days when he did theatre in Delhi.

“With Shah Rukh, there was a lot of talk regarding Delhi theatre days. I didn’t know that he would be so much still in the habit of performing in the way he was expected to perform in theatre. His approach is very theatrical. Almost every day he mentions about his theatrical experience in Delhi and I am very glad about that,” the Indian Express quoted him as saying.

Its title has not been finalised with names like The Ring, Rehnuma and Raula doing the rounds. The film releases on August 11, clashing with Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Meanwhile, have a look at the pictures from the shooting set.
