OK Jaanu Box Office collection day 5: Shraddha-Aditya's love story has a slow Tuesday

Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur's OK Jaanu witnessed little to no growth at the Box Office on Tuesday. Will the movie get the flop tag?

Seems the Box Office numbers of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor’s OK Jaanu will not see any rise in the coming days. At least, that is what the present numbers of collections hint at. The movie that released on 13 January, earned Rs 15.75 cr by Monday. On Tuesday, the movie is reported to earn Rs  1.80 to 1.90 crore at the domestic market. Reports have it that during morning shows, the movie saw 8-10% of occupancy.

The numbers don’t seem favorable for this Shaad Ali directorial. The movie was talked about a lot since it was the Bollywood remake of Mani Ratnam’s hit movie OK Kanmani. There were high hopes that this film too will perform equally well like the original film but looks like this won’t happen.

What makes this impending failure of the film worse, is the fact that it was produced by a big banner Dharma Productions. Also, the star cast of the movie Aditya and Shraddha previous on-screen outings didn’t yield good results at the Box Office. Aditya’s Fitoor and Shraddha’s Rock On 2, both bombed at the ticket counters. Now, the not so good results of OK Jaanu would obviously be disheartening for them.

The film chronicles the complexities of a live-in relationship. The trailer hinted that the two characters don’t believe in the institution of marriage and decide to stay together till they can. How they fall in love and their lives changed formed the crux of the film.

This was Aditya and Shraddha’s second movie together after their 2013 hit film Aashiqui 2. but sadly couldn’t repeat the Box Office success.
