It seems that there is no stopping for Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s romantic saga Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The movie has raked in a decent amount of money on the eighth day of its collection. In all, Alia and Varun’s palpable chemistry has been strong enough to pull the audience to the theaters even after a week’s time. With the pace with which the movie is raking in money, this is going to be yet another film to enter the 100 crores club this year.
Even Rajkummar Rao’s Trapped and Govinda’s Aa Gaya Hero posed no threat to Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The collection of the film did not dip on Friday and hence it impressed the critics with its strong run at the box office.
The story that touches upon the sensitive issues of dowry and women empowerment seems to have garnered a lot of attention for its amazing yet simple storyline. Interestingly, Badrinath Ki Dulhania surpassed Dear Zindagi’s collection within a week’s of its release. Keeping in mind that this was the second film after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, the movie is emerging stronger in contrast to the earlier installment.

- Tuesday: Rs 7.15 crore
- Wednesday: Rs 5.95 crore
- Thursday: Rs 5.06 crore
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s chemistry has been one of the highlights of the film. The audience loved the plot of the film.
