Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-Service Intelligence) was able to do something that even the best of seismologists find difficult doing – predict an earthquake coming. Husain Haqqani, the former Pakistan ambassador to the US, posted an Information Report from Rehabilitation Wing of Pakistan’s Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) on Twitter that predicted the ‘likelihood of large-scale earthquake’ which had the capacity to ‘vigorously shake the Asian continental areas, including Pakistan’.

Twitter had a field day with many Tweeps confused about the circular which allegedly came from the Directorate General of ISI. Many questioned the intelligence agency’s competency. Take a look at some of the reactions:

Another user even took a dig at ISI for being able to predict an earthquake but ignored the presence of terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

One of the users also expressed their shock at being able to predict earthquakes but having failed to determine the whereabouts of former Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden.

Meanwhile, intelligence agencies recently sounded an alert that ISI may plan 26/11 style terror attacks ahead of the Gujarat elections.
