Watch: How MS Dhoni got fooled by Robin Uthappa-Kuldeep Yadav into throwing his wicket away!

MS Dhoni was hitting the ball all over the park when Kuldeep Yadav and Robin Uthappa came together to end his inning on 23 from 11 balls

You must have seen MS Dhoni devising strategies to get a destructive batsman who has been dominating the bowlers, but, this time the master himself got the taste of his own medicine. Dhoni was in a destructive form as he got promoted up the order coming at No.4 as Ajinkya Rahane got out. The idea was sure to get quick runs and he was doing exactly that until he got outclassed by Kuldeep Yadav and Robin Uthappa duo.

Dhoni went all guns blazing against the Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers hitting 2 humongous sixes and a four. He had scored 23 off 10 balls already. Had he been at the crease, the score would have been over 200 and the situation of the game would have been different entirely.

After a tight 17th over from Sunil Narine, Dhoni was under pressure to score boundaries, the score was 148 for 2 as Smith gave him the strike. Kuldeep knew exactly what Dhoni’s plans were, he had struck two huge sixes coming down the wicket and he did it again. What happened next was a pure class act from Kuldeep followed by Uthappa’s quick reflexes.

On seeing Dhoni coming down the track, Kuldeep shortened the length of the ball and bowled a googly. Dhoni pulled off from the shot midway and tried to make up for it by defending but it was too late. The faster one from Kuldeep had already gone past him and Uthappa made no mistake to dislodge the bails off in a flash.

Dhoni did not even look back as he knew that he got outsmarted by India’s young leggie Kuldeep. Dhoni’s wicket turned out to be the turning point of the game as RPS could score 182 at the end of 20 overs which did not affect KKR from chasing it down with 11 balls to spare.
