Kieron Pollard achieves a unique feat, the Caribbean batsman became the second batsman to hit 500 sixes in T20 cricket. Pollard struck his 500th six in the last over of a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2017 match between Dhaka Dynamites and Rajshahi Kings. The all-rounder registered another half-century in this season of BPL 2017. He is only behind Chris Gayle on the list of most sixes in T20 cricket. Pollard has a long way to go as Chris Gayle currently has 772 sixes in T20 cricket. He is followed by Brendon McCullum (399 sixes), Dwayne Smith (347 sixes) and David Warner (314 sixes).

He scored 52 runs from 25 balls featuring 5 fours and 3 huge sixes. His whirlwind innings took Dhaka to 201 for 7 in the first innings. Pollard hit his record 500th six off the Bangladeshi bowler Hossain Ali. The Dhaka Dynamites all-rounder has scored two half-centuries on the trot in this BPL 2017 tournament.

Pollard came in to bat after skipper Shakib Al Hasan got out for 11 in the 14th over. The Windies all-rounder shared a partnership of 62 runs with Sangakkara in 28 balls.

Before his innings, Dhaka Dynamites got off to a great start, courtesy another Windies batsman. Opener Evin Lewis continued his terrific run in T20 cricket. Lewis scored 64 runs from 38 balls. Surprisingly, he hit just 1 six and 10 fours in his innings. Usually it is the other way round.

Rajshahi Kings could not give a fitting reply to Dhaka Dynamites as they struggled right from the beginning of the innings. They lost wickets at regular intervals and ended up getting all out for 133 losing the match by a margin of 68 runs.
