Don Dawood Ibrahim suffers heart attack in Pakistan, critical: Reports

Dawood Ibrahim is wanted in India for his involvement in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts

Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has reportedly suffered a heart attack and is in a critical condition at a Karachi hospital. According to CNN News 18 report published on April 28, Dawood, who has been hiding in Pakistan, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karachi. However, no official announcement has been issued in this regard.

Dawood, who reportedly lives in posh Clifton area residence in Karachi, is wanted in India for his involvement in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. Dawood, along Tiger Memon and Yakub Memon, is accused of organising and financing Mumbai serial blasts that left about 250 people dead and over 700 others injured.

In July 2015, Yakub Memon was hanged to death for this crime, while Dawood and Tiger are still free.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim’s friend Chhota Shakeel has denied the media reports. “He is ‘perfectly fine’, sources told CNN News 18.
