Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will go on sale in India for the first time on July 20, 2017. The Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi is commemorating its third anniversary of entering the Indian market with a bumper sale and as the part of the celebrations, the company’s latest phablet is up for grabs on mi.com and Mi Home store in Bengaluru. However, if you miss the sale on Thursday, the device will be up for grabs on July 21, 2017.
To recall, Xiaomi had unveiled Mi Max 2 back in May this year. After launching the phablet in India earlier this week, the device has been listed for sale on Mi.com.
Design
Xiaomi’s Mi Max 2 features a 6.44-inch display and comes with a full metal unibody design that has been specially designed for one-handed operation. The device also features a fingerprint scanner that is placed on the rear side of the phone.
Specifications
Mi Max 2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and it runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory that can be expanded up 128 GB via a microSD card.

In terms of the camera capacity, Mi Max 2 features a 12MP rear camera with two-tone flash, PDAF autofocus, face recognition and real-time camera filters. It also features a 5MP front camera with real-time video chat filters and selfie timer. The device comes with 4K recording feature and a 5,300 mAh powerful battery. In terms of connectivity, it features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The phone is available for Rs 16,999 in India.
