As we inch closer to the release date, rumours about Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 keep pouring in. And the latest one is coming straight from the den of popular leaker Evan Blass, who has revealed that Samsung’s latest offering, which is expected to come out in March this year will be available in two size variants– 5.8-inch display and 6.2-inch variant.
According to his tweet, while the smaller variant of Samsung Galaxy S8 would come with a 5.8-inch display, the bigger variant, which according to his another leak would be called Galaxy S8+, would come with a 6.2-inch display.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are scheduled to debut on March 29 as against the previous reports which stated that the smartphone giant would unveil its flagship smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2017 that is scheduled to take off on February 27 in Barcelona. With Galaxy S8, Samsung is believed to do away with its Edge branding, a feature that has long dominated its smartphones.
The latest leaks have also confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S8 would feature OFC and AMOLED screen. The word is that Galaxy S8 is likely to feature Qualcomm’s latest processor– Snapdragon 835 alongside a single rear camera on both the models with an all powerful 3,000 mAh and 3,500 mAh in S8 and S8+ respectively.
Another leak suggests that the smartphone giant has also filed a patent application for its virtual assistant– Bixby. The two smartphones will reportedly have a dedicated button to access Bixby, which is likely to feature support for eight languages.
Prior to the launch, Samsung has supposedly confirmed the existence of Galaxy S8+. The company has made the support page of Galaxy S8+ with model number SM-G955FD live in India. As of now, the page contains no details about the smartphone.
