Reliance to extend Jio Prime subscription deadline till April 30?

Hurry! Jio Prime registration deadline likely to be extended till April 30

Reliance Jio’s enticing Happy New Year offer is coming to an end on March 31. However, the latest reports suggest that the telecom service provider, that changed the scope of mobile data consumption in India, may extend the grace period by a month to lure more users.

A report by TeleAnalysis quoted a company insider as saying that the registration deadline for Jio Prime might be extended by a month until April 30. However, nothing has been finalised yet.

The report further states that of its over 100 million users, the company has been able to attract around 22-27 million users, which is nearly half of the target that the company had set for Jio Prime. The lukewarm response in the market may force the company to extend its registration deadline thereby giving the company more time to attract more users.

Interestingly, a research conducted by a Wall Street brokerage firm Bernstein showed opposite trend showed that the Jio lead the charts in terms of customer loyalty and that most of the 2G and 3G users were likely to upgrade to 4G within the next year.
