Adoption is a beautiful thing. We root for it, applaud if anyone else does it and even make plans for adopting own one day. While orphanages and adoption centres are brimming with children waiting for adoption, many people are taking initiative and the number of adoptions is on a surge. Mother’s Day is just around the corner and there’s no better reason to celebrate parenthood and love, this beautiful video depicts one such tale of a young boy asking his step-dad to officially adopt him.
Kalani Watson wanted to celebrate his 10th birthday in a special way, and not just for him but for his dad too. In a video documented by his mother Porsche Williamson, Kalani takes out a cute letter from his pocket and reads it out to his step-dad who is sitting in front of him. He begins the letter by saying, “Dad, I know today is supposed to be all about me, but today is really about us” and goes on to explain at lengths how he has cherished all the support he has got from his dad and how his dad was there at every program, parent-teacher meetings, and so. He finally puts out the main question:
“So let’s stop playing and make it official. Brandon Craig Williamson, will you do me the biggest favour in the world? Will you adopt me”?
It is heartwarming to see how Brandon breaks down and hugs his son. The video was posted by Porsche Williamson on her Facebook page and has so far garnered 3.5M views. This beautiful video is being loved by almost everybody and people are commenting their heartwarming responses on the video. “This is so beautiful and now I’m all tears. God continue to bless him as the head of the house and continue to bless them as a family”, a viewer commented on her post.
