Watch: India's definitely got talent, but they're too busy wasting it on covering Ed Sheeran's Shape of You

We are still wondering why these brilliant Indian singers with magical voice are stuck with Ed Sheeran's Shape of You

The entire world seems to be going crazy over Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You and there have been innumerable mashups of the song ever since its release in January this year. These mashups haven’t been a bit disappointing, and half of the credit goes to the original song which is trippy and super fun, and the half of it is pure talent of these artists. But sadly and strangely enough, our desi rockstars are limiting their amazing talent on producing new versions of Ed Sheeran’s popular song, instead of coming up with something original.

Yesterday, an interesting carnatic version of the song was posted by Indian Raga Project on their Facebook page and it has crossed 1 million views already. The singers Aditya Rao and Vinod Krishnan totally kill it with their magical voice, and Mahesh Raghvan on one the instruments. Sorry,  but this song just cannot do justice to their talent and immense potential. Even some of the comments on the Facebook agree ‘ I was blown by this!!! What voices! Wayyyyy batter (sic) than the actual one.’ and in fact after one of the Facebook users raised the question of Indians ‘mimicking’ west (although we don’t agree with the mimicry part), singer Vinod Krishnan has repsonded saying ‘This is just a medium to make Carnatic music more accessible to a broader audience. That’s all.’
Then, there is another one featuring singers Sandesh Motwani and Dhvani Bhanushali whose ‘Carpool Mashup’ of Shape of You and Gulabi Ankhein is the topmost trending  video on Youtube today with a little over 1 million views already.
Watch the two videos which are making the entire internet swoon. Let us know in the comments section if you agree with us after listening to this ‘pure awesomeness’ :
