Samsung has launched Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 smartphones in India. Here's how you can buy them

Samsung on Monday launched its flagship smartphones Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) in India. Priced at Rs 28,990, and Rs 33,490 respectively, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will be available in India from March 15 via Samsung online store and offline retailers. However, you can only pre-book the two smartphones on Samsung India’s website.

Both the smartphones are powered by Exynos 7880 Octa-core 1.9Ghz processor and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The two smartphones are protected by IP68 technology making them water and dust resistant. The two new A-series smartphones come with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the two phones support Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, LTE Cat.6 and USB type-C port. The phone also features ‘always on display’, the features that first appeared in Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The interesting fact about these phones is that they feature 16MP primary and secondary cameras, making them ideal for clicking selfies. The cameras in the two dual-SIM smartphones also feature a special ‘food mode’, for the Instagram addicts among you.

As far as differences are concerned, the Galaxy A5 is powered by a 3,000 mAh fast charging lithium ion battery, while Galaxy A7 has a 3,600 mAh fast charging lithium ion battery. Also, Galaxy A5 comes with a 5.2-inch sAMOLED display, while Galaxy A7 comes with a 5.7-inch sAMOLED display.

The two smartphones are available in two colour variants in India– Black Sky and Gold Sand.
