Philippine bet Kylie Verzosa bags Miss International 2016 title

The coronation was held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan

The Philippine bet Kylie Verzosa on Thursday bagged the Miss International 2016 title in a coronation ceremony held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan. Contestants from Australia, Indonesia, Nicaragua and USA were the first, second, third and fourth runner ups respectively.

Earlier, Verzosa had said that she would be focusing on “cultural and international understanding” if she wins. After winning, she acknowledged everyone who helped her succeed. She said, “I cannot believe this moment right now, and I am ecstatic and happy. Thank you so much to my family, to the Philippines, to everyone who supported me. I did not go through this journey alone, but I had a lot of help from the people who love me. I deeply appreciate this. This moment has only happened in my dreams. Thank you so much, Japan. Thank you, Miss International.”
