But, worry not. Facebook has taken cognisance of the issue and is coming up with a plan to combat fake news article. Presently, all you can do this is report the story as a spam or click on the reason of you not finding the piece of news as interesting. Now, Facebook is coming up with the option of reporting the fake news.

When you click on the upper right-hand corner of the concerned post, you will have an option of selecting, “It is a fake news story,” apart from the option of reporting the post as spam.

Furthermore, it has joined hands with a third-party fact-checking organisation. So, when you click on a fake news, Facebook will warn you saying that the story could be fake. Facebook will also probably share a link to the original article with you. However, you will still be able to share the post.

Facebook has also affirmed that the company is trying to reduce the profits that the organisations sharing the fake news are making.
