Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra, JK Rowling celebrate womanhood in this inspiring video [Watch]

The video also features Sushmita Sen, India's first IPS officer Kiran Bedi, Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi, & American singers Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift.

Bollywood actresses Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra, author of the popular Harry Potter book series JK Rowling, Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai and many other strongheaded and inspiring women have been inspiring many young women with their work and their life-journeys so far.  In a  video compilation by an online motivational platform, The Eternal Explorer, these youth icons talk about how important it is for women (and everyone, for that matter) to believe in themselves. We live in a world, where in the name of equality, young girls are ‘allowed to study’ till certain grade,  ‘work for a while’ before getting married, where young, unmarried, working women are still  hounded with questions like ‘when are you planning to get married’ and where women are still referred to as the ‘weaker sex’,

No doubt things have been looking up since past few decades and women have started taking charge of their lives (not that they weren’t until now) and there is a raised sense of awareness among their rights. Women are setting examples and making their mark in every field overcoming all the odds. The video features Priyanka Chopra, India’s first IPS officer, Kiran Bedi, Pepsi Co CEO Indra Nooyi,  popular American singers Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift.

An old video clip of Sushmita Sen also features in the video where she shares how once she met Mother Teresa who told her that there were only four boys and how all of them were adopted and poiting towards the girls she told Sushmita that these are only the girls. It is interesting how Sushmita says that Mother Teresa smiled about it and said they are the lucky one’. Lucky ones, indeed. Wondering how?

The video has been quite rightly titled as ‘FLY’. Watch the video:
