Virender Sehwag, the former Indian opener, was compelled to praise Jhulan Goswami and tweeted in his own specific style to praise her efforts

Jhulan Goswami, the leading wicket-taker in the women’s ODI, yet again outplayed the opponent batswomen in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 against England in the final. The 34-year-old Indian speedster bowled a phenomenal spell of 10 overs, comprising three maiden overs and scalped three crucial wickets by conceding mere 23 runs. She was totally on fire and the way she bamboozled the English batters was outstanding. The English batting line up looked helpless against her vicious inswingers which led her registering one of the best spells in her career.

In the 33rd over, Jhoolan got the first breakthrough after dismissing English wicket-keeper batter Sarah Taylor. The brewing partnership between her and Natalie Sciver was dented by Goswami and Taylor lost her wicket after scoring 45 runs. Later, Goswami hit back and picked two wickets in two consecutive balls. She dismissed dangerous looking Natalie Sciver (51) followed by Katherine Brunt (0) and put the England women’s team under pressure.

Meanwhile, the people on Twitter congratulated the Indian bowler for her outstanding spell. Even Virender Sehwag, the former Indian opener, was compelled to praise Jhulan and tweeted in his own specific style. He wrote,”Jhulan ne Jhula daala. Wonderful fightback from India. #WWCFinal2017.”
