The ultimate showdown: Manny Pacquiao-Amir Khan to lock horns on April 23

Manny Pacquiao had posted a poll on his official Twitter feed asking his 110K followers to choose either Jeff Horn, Amir Khan, Terence Crawford or Kell Brook as his next opponent.

The Philipine southpaw, is a rockstar in the ring, he has proved it over and over again. So he decided to take it to Twitter for his fans and did an open polling asking his fans to vote for the boxer he should face in a battle. The boxer he nominated were Britain’s Amir Khan, Kell Brook, Jeff Horn and Terence Crawford, big names from the circuit. Does it get any bigger? Amir Khan won the polls hands-down but both the wrestlers could not zero-in on the venue.

Pacquiao tweeted: “Negotiations between team Pacquiao and team Khan have come to terms for the April 23 bout as this is what the fans wanted.#PacquiaoKhan”

To this Amir Khan tweeted, “My team and I have agreed terms with Manny Pacquiao and his team for a super fight #pacquiaokhan #April23rd”.

Earlier, crowd favourite Manny had temporarily retired last year but raged back to nail Jesse Varghas is Los Angeles. Following the win, he stated that he felt ‘like a youngster’.

Pacquiao had said he was retiring to focus on his new role as Philippine senator, after winning elections last year on the back of his sporting fame.

So, lock the date and be there to witness the epic.
