Nozomi was in no mood to give it up the match lasted 1 hr 23 minutes before Sindhu won 22/20, 11/21 & 21/18. This is the first time an Indian woman has won the Korean Open, it is a big moment for Indian sports. Finally, silver eludes Sindhu as she wins a gold, finally. Going into the match Sindhu was higher ranked but at the back of her mind, last months defeat would have been hovering. But she made her opponent work end to end in the court. Sindhu looked tired in the last set but came through with her belief. Nozomi, on the other hand, raised her game at the fag end and hence Sindhu coming through was even sweeter.
