David Warner, who completed his half-century in just 20 balls, became the highest run-getter of this Indian Premier League season

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner enthralled the crowd with his quick-fire 126 off just 59 balls in an Indian Premier League match against Kolkata Knight Riders at at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on April 30.

Warner, who completed his half-century in just 20 balls, became the highest run-getter of this IPL season. During his stay at the crease, Warner smashed 10 fours and eight sixes. Came into bat with Shikhar Dhawan to open the innings SRH, Warner got the lifeline in the second over of the SRH innings when Chris Woakes dropped his catch in the deep. Following this, Warner upped the ante and smashed Kolkata bowlers all around the park.

Warner along with Shikhar Dhawan (29 off 30 balls, 2 fours, 1 six) put on 139 runs partnership for the first wicket. Besides Warner, Kane Williamson, came into bat after the fall Dhawan’s wicket, played vital 40 runs knock off just 25 balls.

In their quota of 20 overs, SRH managed to put a whooping total of 209 runs on the board. Earlier, Kolkata Knight Roders skipper Gautam Gambhir won the toss and he elect to field first. For KKR, only Chris Woakes managed to claim a wicket. Woakes ended with figures of 4-46-1. Kolkata need 210 runs to win this battle.

Till the last report came in, KKR struggling against SRH bowlers as the lost two quick wickets with just 30 runs on board. KKR still need 179 in 92 balls.
