IPL 2017 KKR vs RCB: To wish Sachin Tendulkar Happy Birthday, RCB bundled out for 49, reports Twitterati

It was a tough day at the office for Virat Kohli-led RCB but that did not stop Twitterati from trolling them for recording the lowest score in IPL

It was an action-packed Sunday evening as Gautam Gambhir’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) surrender and get bundled out within 10 overs, recording the lowest score in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. It was a boring first half as RCB’s bowling department dominated KKR, bundling them out in the 20th over at a lowly score of 131 which later turned out to be too good for the visitors.

KKR were on the back foot when they came out to bowl, defending a score of 132. They got the perfect start getting the wicket of Virat Kohli on the first ball he faced. To everyone’s surprise, it all went downhill from there despite the big names including Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Kedar Jadhav.

It is an irony that on this very day, April 23, Gayle scored 175 and recorded the highest individual score by a batsman in IPL and worldwide. The most hilarious of the memes showed that RCB bundled out for 49 to wish the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar his 44th birthday.

Forget about Twitterati, even Kohli did not spare his teammates after a disappointing show as he termed it as the ‘worst batting performance’. He accused the side screen for his wicket and was fuming in anger at the Umpire because of his dismissal. He looked angry in the dugout as RCB kept losing wickets.

Kohli was almost teary-eyed in the post-match conference and felt disappointed for RCB’s horrendous show in the middle. Not one RCB batsman could get to a double digit score.
