After a pretty long time, Yuvraj Singh was once again seen in the best of his forms. His marvellous knock of 70 runs off 41 balls against the Delhi Daredevils proved that class never departs. In the game number 40 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Yuvraj scored his second half-century and ended the streak of his poor performances.

When the SRH team was reduced to 75 for 2, Yuvi came in to bat at number 4 after Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed by Amit Mishra for 28 runs. From that point of the game, he started making runs for his team and ended up scoring 70 runs remaining not out.

In the post-inning interview, Yuvraj shared his batting experience and said,”It was an important knock for the team. However, it was not easy to get the pace of the wicket.”

“Williamson was playing really well so, I thought to settle my innings. I was lucky enough to come out well. Dhawan and Warner provided us with superb starts. Also, when you get time, you need to make most of it. I’m happy that I had time in the middle,” he added.

Yuvraj had an average start in the beginning as in the first 21 balls he could score only 19 runs but in the next 20 balls he smashed 51 runs and stunned everybody. He was lucky enough to be dropped by Sanju Samson in the seventeenth over in deep on 29 which proved to be a harsh punishment for Delhi.

He further said,”I said that if we try for 170 or 175, we will be able to score 180. But if we go for 180 straight away, we end up scoring just 160. Delhi has the best bowling line up in this tournament as they have good international leggies. You have to act smart and wait for the loose deliveries.”

Despite such a splendid knock, Hyderabad outplayed Delhi and won the game by 5 wickets.
