Gautam Gambhir and Co. are having an extraordinary Indian Premier League Season (IPL) this year. In the game number 32 of the IP 10, 0nce again, Robin Uthappa and skipper Gautam Gambhir showcased their classic game at their home ground and converted a tough looking game into an easier one against Zaheer Khan-led DD. Both the batsmen started charging the Delhi bowlers right after the side faced the first blow in the form of Sunil Narine’s dismissal. From that very point, the duo played it their way and retained their legacy in Kolkata. Both Gambhir and Uthappa scored their half-centuries and added a total of 106 runs for the second wicket. Finally, after losing 3 wickets, KKR won the game by 7 wickets with 22 balls to spare.

Gambhir was awarded as the Man of the Match but for his fantastic inning but he donated the price money to the families of the CRPF personnel who were martyred in Sukma during an anti-Naxalite encounter. The attack took place on personnel of the CRPF’s 74th Battalion as they were assisting the local population in road building activity in the district.

This gesture of Gautam Gambhir not only earned him a lot of respect but the way Twitterati blessed him their 140 characters blessings is also worth reading!
